I Know

"I Know" is Voice Devoted's first release. It is a conversational, introspective bedroom pop single with vulnerable lyrics and intimate ambience.

"I Know" was written by Braden Pearcey, the band's frontman, in the August of 2024. The song is based off of a real conversation that Braden and the band's female vocalist, Sarah Vaia, had that same August. Having come out of such a personal conversation, the song is naturally intimate. It blends honest fear and insecurity with beautiful gentleness, true empathy, and timeless hope. From beginning on a viewpoint of sad reflection and memory, to ending on a soft promise of understanding and hope, the song hits home with honesty and vulnerability.

"I Know" is available on all streaming platforms.

The Mirror & The Portal

The Mirror & the Portal, the band's debut album, is still in the works. The writing for "The Mirror & The Portal" was begun in the May of 2023 by frontman Braden Pearcey and has since undergone numerous revisions.

The primary concept of the album remains the same, however. The "mirror" is symbolic of the past and all of the ways it still affects us: fear, insecurity, bitterness, hatred, depression, and darkness. Symbolically, a mirror is something that we constantly go back to to measure ourselves, and as it applies to "The Mirror & The Portal", the past is the same way.

Similarly, the "portal" is symbolic of new life, forgiveness, and hope. A portal is commonly recognized as a place between worlds that transports people and/or objects from one dimension/world/galaxy to another. In "The Mirror & The Portal", the portal represents a conscious choice to leave the mirror and step into new life, to never look back.

The band believes and knows to be true that the only true hope beyond temporary fulfillment is Jesus Christ.

The album is not a Christian album. It has undertones of Christian faith, and Jesus is mentioned numerous times. But the band maintains both secular and Christian content without affiliating totally with either or.

"The Mirror & The Portal" will feature multiple genres of music, primarily bedroom pop, hard rock/heavy metal, indie, and ambient/cinematic pop. It does not currently have a set release date.
